Piano, Guitar and Strings

GROUP PIANO • Ages 4 and up

In our group piano lab, each student plays on a full-sized digital piano, offering an individual experience with the instrument as well as the opportunity to play as an ensemble.

Group piano classes incorporate instruction in proper playing technique, music theory, note reading, and the basics of improvisation to create a solid foundation for future private study. Students are placed according to age.

Parents accompany their children to this class for young beginners. One full year of Group Piano appropriately prepares students for private study.

GROUP GUITAR • Ages 5 & up

This course introduces young students to the guitar in a collaborative and supportive setting. Participants will learn proper playing technique, plus note reading, tablature, and chord charts.

12-week course begins in October.

SUZUKI VIOLIN, VIOLA & CELLO • Ages 4 & up (students under 4 may be accepted provided they have taken a 12-week Carnival of the Instruments Pre-Requisite)
Students studying violin, viola, or cello in our Suzuki Strings Program take both a weekly private lesson and a weekly group lesson, scheduled on separate days. Students may choose to take 30, 45, or 60 minute private lessons. Group classes are 45 minutes long. Suzuki students participate in one solo recital and one group class concert each semester with additional monthly performance opportunities also available.
